Valentine's Day means more than chalky candy hearts, swelling floral departments, and chocolates!
It also means that if you are a college student or the parent of one, it may be time to find out your FAFSA deadlines, if you haven't already!
What is the deadline? Good question! There is a federal deadline, but many colleges and universities have their own deadlines, and so do states!
California, Michigan and others have deadlines in early March. Some states recommend filing shortly after October of last year, which is the earliest you can file. (See the link in sources for more on your school's state.)
Money can be awarded partially on a first-come-first-serve basis, meaning that you have to qualify and there needs to be money left. Don't miss out because you didn't file early enough!
Now for business owners:
For all you entreprenuers out there who have made their side hussel official, this is a reminder to check when your business taxes are due. Depending on what type of business you have, they might be due in March!
Wishing you all a happy Valentine's Day from Cashtoons!
